OF Darius Freeman, Ban Johnson Legends
Freeman (Shawnee Mission Northwest/Kansas City Kansas CC) had 11 hits in 16 at-bats and also reached twice via walks for a robust .722 on-base percentage.
He tripled twice, stole a base, drove in four runs and scored five times in helping the Legends go 4-1 overall and remain second in the American Division standings.
Freeman had six hits, including two triples with four RBIs and four runs scored, in a sweep Monday against the KC Knights. He also went 2-for-3 in both ends of a doubleheader Wednesday against the NKC Apartments Giants.
Freeman, who added 173 points to his batting average last week, enters the week on a seven-game hitting streak with multiple hits in four of those games — all last week.
