Right-hander Collin Jones (Leavenworth/UCM) worked around a couple errors in a dominant performance as the MBC Academy Macaws secured a split against the NKC Apartments Giants.
Jones struck out nine and scattered two hits and a walk in five innings during a 7-0 win.
He struck out the side in the third and wriggled out of a bases-loaded, nobody-out jam in the fourth inning.
Jones also stranded a runner at third with nobody out in the fifth before giving way to the bullpen.
