1B Jake Lufft, Regal Plastic
Lufft (Blue Springs South/Metropolitan CC) went 6 for 10 with two home runs, a double, three RBIs, five runs scored and two walks last week. He also picked up a win on the mound as a two-way star.
Lufft opened his week Monday with five hits, including a double and a home run, to go with two RBIs, four runs scored and two walks against the KC Knights.
Returning to Creekside Baseball Park on Tuesday, Lufft smashed the game-winning solo home run against the Knights to open a split doubleheader. He leads the BJCL with three home runs this summer.
Lufft then shut down the Milgram Mustangs on the mound in the nightcap, allowing two runs and scattering five hits with a walk and four strikeouts in five innings to earn the win.
